As a military brat I've lived in Georgia, France, Idaho, West Virginia, Spain, South Carolina, Texas, and Luxembourg. Married 39 years with two grown children. When I’m not doing genealogy, I spend time riding my racing bike with my husband through the wonderful countryside in Luxembourg and surrounding countries.

  1. I think we are related on my father’s side. My grandmother was Grace Myrtle Duggins the daughter of Bertha May Roop and Louis Edward Duggins. You mentioned in your blog that he abandoned the family. He was actually a fugitive from the law.

    1. Hello Marla,
I didn’t actually say that he abandoned his family. I placed a note in my GEDCOM file “Louis Duggins went to Mexico and left his oldest daughter to raise the others” as a reminder as I was not finding them in the 1920 and 1930 census. Please get in touch with me by email (see under About) and we can talk about it.
      Best wishes,
      Cathy
